Role Purpose
To lead the activities of the Service Delivery Division including Fixed and Mobile services, in order to facilitate smooth collaboration between the business and the technical functions throughout the delivery cycle of all of Oman Telecommunications Company’s (Omantel’s) services, with an aim to provide efficient delivery of telecom services from a technical perspective in compliance with the mutually agreed requirements and legislative rules and regulations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
Strategy Development and ImplementationDesign and implement Service Delivery initiatives to support corporate strategyEstablish Service Delivery plans and provide input to Integrated Network and Technology Unit goals that support Omantel’s overall technology strategyContribute to target setting and provide input to measurement of Integrated Network and Technology Business Unit scorecardSupport corporate business goals by ensuring adherence to operating budget for Service Delivery DivisionCollaborate with Business and Functional Units to identify Integrated Network and Technology projects that meet future business needsBudgetingManage the operational budgeting cycle and provide input to the budgeting processReview monthly, weekly, and annual reports to ensure adherence to the operating budget of Service Delivery DivisionFormulate strategies that result in positive financial impact for the organization and mitigates financial and operational risksProvide input to funding, expense, cash flow and budgetary controlsService DeliveryAct as primary contact for coordinating telecom service requirements to the concerned functions within Integrated Network and Technology UnitOversee coordination across Integrated Network and Technology Unit functions during the life cycle of delivering telecommunication services on behalf of the business unitsInitiate proposed solutions and implementation schedules within the Integrated Network and Technology Unit’s concerned functions for all telecommunications services with the business user for mutual agreementCommunicate business priorities and concerns to the Integrated Network and Technology UnitOversee deployed services within the telecommunication infrastructure to ensure that they are production ready (end to end) from a technical perspectiveReview major Service Level Agreements (SLA) violation issues which directly impact telecommunications services and take corrective actionOversee facilitation of data investigation for configuration of service applications and infrastructure projectsEstablish continuous improvement and performance monitoring initiatives for all service delivery processes owned by the Integrated Network and Technology UnitPolicies and ProceduresEstablish comprehensive guidelines for dissemination of telecom service request requirements for the Integrated Network and Technology UnitManage all Service Delivery processes documentation within Integrated Network and Technology UnitDevelop policies and procedures for the Service Delivery Division in line with corporate business policies and guidelinesOversee all activities related to Service Delivery to ensure compliance with internal policies and guidelinesPeople ManagementMotivate Senior Management and empower direct reports by providing the necessary tools and support required to support the Service Delivery DivisionEstablish clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow of the Service Delivery DivisionBuild opportunities for Service Delivery Division members to suggest, participate in and contribute to improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing initiativesProvide guidance and ensure that the Service Delivery Division complies with Omantel’s policies, processes, practices and systems
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Knowledge / Technical Skills
Advanced knowledge of technologies employed in telecommunications industryThorough knowledge of the telecommunications industry and it’s operational environment
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications10 years of total experience & at least 5 years in a managerial position
