Product Manager
This role has the end-to-end responsibility for individual products and capabilities in the area of mobile & fixed data, voice and value added services. You will define, develop, deliver & manage products across the entire lifecycle
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Define, develop and lifecycle-manage mobile and fixed products.
- Define requirements for Vodafone Oman martech capabilities (digital marketing suite, front-end and back-end applications).
- Collaborate with VF Oman Technology as well as Group Technology resources for all product/application development; act as the single point of contact/internal customer towards the product owners in Technology.
- Assure quality in all backend development delivered. Responsible for the user experience and content, sales and service capability backlog for owned channels (MVA and web)
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Pricing and CVM teams to prioritize owned channel capabilities and journeys
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimise product performance and uptake
- Commercial post implementation reviews
Key performance indicators:
- Service Revenue
- Time to market
- Quality / Customer experience (NPS, CI)
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :
- Advanced commercial and analytical skills
- Relevant product management experience in telecom
- Substantial experience of the relevant fields of digital product development across the Consumer & Enterprise business units.
- Proven commercial success record.
- Experience in Agile desirable
- Strong ability to present to senior leaders and to communicate complex subjects in a simple way.
- Ability to manage conflicts and opposing points of view.
- Sense of humour
- International experience across different cultures, ideally experience of having lived and worked in Oman (or in the Gulf) and/or understanding of the Arab culture.
- 5+ years’ experience in Product, Segment, or relevant technology roles
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- University degree
Data Science Engineer
A Data Science Engineer manages large volumes of data and enables Vodafone for a better customer experience & business decisions. The tole participates in data lifecycle, data collection, cleansing, integration, analysis, modelling with machine learning algorithms, visualization, interpretation of the models and results and reporting.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Responsible for executing statistical methods to solving specific business problems.
- Responsible for developing new data sources, testing model enhancements, and fine-tuning model parameters to improve upon existing methodologies.
- Take active part in the design and development of automated forecasting systems.
- Responsible for the construction of customer-facing reporting tools to provide insights and metrics which track forecast.
- Ensure that the models are well developed, tested, trained, and implemented.
- Ensure that the integrity and dependability of data for analytical purposes are processed, cleansed and verified.
- Decide features for data extraction, which might include the construction and optimization of classifiers utilizing machine-learning methods.
- Responsible for the accurate exploration of internally and externally sourced data to search for unseen insights and correlation.
- Responsible for data management for constructing analytic systems.
- Strongly supports the adoption of data science and well improved analytics across the whole organization, and also at managerial, executive, and operational stages.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Strong data Analytics Skills
- Translates data into insights that identify opportunities and highlights threats to the business.
- Be able to work independently.
- Good understanding of industry standards & best practices like ITIL, eToM, ISO 2000 and ISO2700.
- Working experience on the key Operational processes definition and implementation in the process management tools, like, event, Incident, change, problem and Service Management for Telcom Industry.
- Good Understanding of Service Management and Service KPIs / KQIs
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Information Technology from a recognized university or equivalent.
- At least 6 years work experience as a Process Manager in similar technology operations Managed Services environments or similar DevOps environments.
- Python, Scala,SQL.
