Business Analysis – Upstream
Use results from financial and budget analysis data, communicates results and presents business recommendations to Value partner. Recommendations include cost reduction measures, revenue generation ideas, and ways to streamline operations or increase customer satisfaction.
Develops complex analyses to support long range planning and support division and unit decision making. Prepares summary and detailed reports, analyses, and reconciliations on regular and ad hoc basis. Develops short and long-term forecasts and projections.
Collect, validate, track, review, enter and consolidate financial information related to business unit(s) operations and key performance indicators (KPI).
Compile and deliver concise, structured presentations of finance and strategy findings, forecasts, and analysis projects.
Analyze actual costs against budgets and forecasts to understand the impact that any variances may have on operations.
Assist with the preparation of forecasts, and reporting of key performance indicators for the business unit(s).
Routinely collaborate and communicate with business unit and operational managers to review reports, metrics, KPI’s and related operational data.
Provide variance explanations and recommend improvement action plans.
Establish and maintain process controls ensuring divisional consistency and adherence to established enterprise policy and procedures for operational metrics and data reporting.
Maintain appropriate documents and files as support for all transactions, reports and analysis.
Liaise with Value Partners, Shared Services and Centers of Excellence to provide seamless service delivery to customers.
Support the integration program as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
7+ years overall career experience
Oil and Gas / Energy industry experience essential (including upstream and downstream exposure)
Minimum qualification is a bachelor degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Management, or equivalent
Master Degree or MBA qualifications are an added advantage
Strong analytical and communication skills, including verbal and written skills
Highly organized and ability to work independently
Detail oriented and self-motivated
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
